Bengaluru: DK Shivakumar announces the first winner of #VaccinateKarnataka Campaign.
DK Shivakumar, President of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) on Sunday announced the first winner of #VaccinateKarnataka Campaign that began on 19th June.
Ashlesh D Jain, a class 5 student SDM English Medium School of Ujire was declared the first winner.
More than 5000 entries were received on the first day of campaign launch, in which many students were seen participating enthusiastically through different social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #VaccinateKarnataka. They not only posted creative videos but were also effective in their messaging.
The campaign was also trending across the Social media and kids were seen eagerly participating in the campaign.
More winners will be announced on a daily basis till the end of campaign.
“Vaccinate Karnataka” campaign, is a social media video contest for children to make videos urging adults to get vaccinated. The first-of-its-kind competition is inviting around 95 lakh students from all across Karnataka to make a social media video creating awareness about Covid vaccination. The 100 best videos will be given an Android tablet each.
To participate in the contest children, have to post a 2-minute video on social media platforms with the hashtag #VaccinateKarnataka and then submit a form at www.vaccinatekarnataka.in
VaccinateKarnataka campaign aims at educating people on the importance of taking the Vaccine, where students of Karnataka will prompt adults to get vaccinated in a creative way. They will be highlighting how Vaccination plays a very important part in keeping the people safe and to fight COVID.
DK Shivakumar is also scheduled to meet and felicitate the winners through a video conference after the end of the campaign and listen to their ideas for betterment of Karnataka.
